I have an Honours degree in English Literature and I graduated from RMIT with a Diploma of Graphic Design in 2001. On graduating I worked inhouse as a book designer for Pearson Australia and have been a freelance graphic designer, specialising in books, since 2002.

I am happy to take client meetings, or work remotely via email and the internet. I have worked with clients for years before actually meeting them!

I’m an all rounder with initiative, confidence and lots of ideas, and I’m keen to work with you.

• My years of experience allow me to get to the heart of any design problem quickly and intuitively.

• I never waste time but I always make time for the fun bits.

• If I don’t know something I ask. 

• I enjoy a respectful debate of ideas – if everyone is heard the design
  is always better.

• I am super fast, rarely furious and always fun.

• I’m full of ideas and they are usually sparkly. (Unless the brief specifically rules out sparkle of course. I can desparkle under instruction.)

• I have an editing and marketing background, so can assist with writing and proofing as the job progresses. 

In 2018 I completed a Certificate III in Visual Arts. I am always happy to discuss illustration/artwork requirements and give recommendations where I don't feel that my style is the correct fit for the job.

Rates

All jobs are billed at an hourly rate of $120 plus gst. For books, a per page rate can be worked out depending on the amount of work involved, and written quotations are provided in advance wherever possible. I can also assist with sourcing quotes for printing, illustration or photography provision and production if required.
