I have been designing the Dr Who Diary for Mallon Publishing since 2009… this is a job that requires extremely close adherence to the BBC brand guidelines, and every page has to be approved by the BBC marketing team.
We have often had to put together the diary without access to the current series’ images due to screening timeframes… we have had to be very creative with the content and very flexible with the design!
Timeframes are usually tight, and due to the international nature of the team, late nights are often required! Oh for a time machine…
